About PM Matsya Sampada Yojana

Through this scheme, additional 700,000 tonnes of fish production will be boosted by 2025, which will double the income of fishermen.

Purpose of PM Matsya Sampada Yojana

Budget allocation of Rs 77.408 lakh done in Azamgarh

Components Of PMMSY
Some of the two major components of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana are as follows:-
Central Sector Scheme- The entire expenditure of PMMSY in this component will be borne by the Central Government.
Centrally Sponsored Scheme- According to this component 90% of the expenditure will be borne by the Government and rest 10% will be borne by the State Government.
Implementation of PM Matsya Sampada Yojana
As we all know that under the PM Matsya Sampada Yojana launched by the Central Government, the production of fisheries will be promoted in the country. The main objective of starting this scheme is to increase the income of fishermen and to advance the fishery sector in the country. Techniques like Circle Africa Culture System, Bio Flock Cage Culture, etc. will be used to increase the production.

Various activities such as marine agriculture, seaweed cultivation and ornamental fisheries will be undertaken to generate huge employment opportunities.
